Event Description
Enjoy a guided tour lead by the Los Serenos Docents of Abalone Cove on Sunday, February 17th at 1:00 pm. Hike past the unique native flora and fauna and explore the tide pools teeming with fascinating marine life. The hiking difficulty is Moderate to Strenuous. It is about a mile one way, and elevation difference is about 120 ft. It will take 15 - 20 min to go down, and a bit longer on the way back. This is a kids friendly hike. There are a few steps and narrow paths so baby strollers are not suitable on the trail. Please wear sturdy shoes as part of the walk will be on cobblestones. Sorry, dogs are not allowed on the beach with exception of guide dogs. The hike is free and the public is welcome! Rain cancels a hike. For more information, please call 310-544-5366 (Abalone Cove), 310-544-5375 (PVIC Museum) or visit our website at www.losserenos.org.
NOTE: Do not use the map on Facebook venue. It is showing the wrong residential place somewhere in San Pedro. The correct address is 5970 Palos Verdes Dr. S., Rancho Palos Verdes, California 90275. Please type this address in your car navigator. Also, due to strong demand and limited parking for this event, carpooling and ride sharing are strongly encouraged.
