Event Description
Redondo Beach will observe Memorial Day 2019 at the Veterans Memorial in beautiful Veterans Park by the Redondo Pier at 1 PM on Monday, the 27th of May. The solemn observance will include reflection and remembrance, music, commentary and honors to all those members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice in our nations wars. Memorial Day is a time to honor the fallen…. Keynote speaker is local resident, Judge John Lonergan,L.A. Superior Court. Judge Lonergan is an Army veteran and retired Colonel, U.S.Army. Local elected officials and military dignitaries will also participate. The U.S. Army Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion is supporting the event.
The Redondo Union High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC,the Naval Sea Cadets and the Boy Scouts are supporting the event. Music provided by the Redondo High Wind Ensemble under the baton of Raymundo Vizcarra.
Donations and contributions still being accepted for the Redondo Veterans Memorial.

The Memorial Day service will be followed by a BBQ picnic sponsored by the Redondo Elks
Lodge #1378 in the Elks parking lot south of the Lodge next to Veterans Park.
The BBQ is free for all veterans and members of the military,police officers and firefighters.
