LA Kings Announce Holiday Ice Outdoor Rinks for the Public

In late October at a press conference aboard Battleship Iowa in Sand Pedro, the LA Kings unveiled five special outdoor ice rink locations that will be open to the public throughout the Los Angeles landscape for the holiday season. LA Kings sponsored outdoor ice rinks will be featured in Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Woodland Hills and the Port of San Pedro in Los Angeles in addition to the organization’s annual LA King’s ice rink at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.

The idea of ice skating outdoors in the South Bay is not a common one, but there’s a strong contingent of LA King fans and players that reside in the South Bay. In 2014 when the Kings won the Stanely Cup, the team celebrated in the South Bay with a parade that toured Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.

Please note, the opening date for Redondo Beach location is tentative and will happen either this Friday or Saturday, it’s best to call ahead at (310) 387-1370 to double check before planning on lacing up some skates. Cost to the public is $17.50 which includes rental skates and one ice-skating session. During the week there will be two sessions a day open to the public from about 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and on the weekends from about 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
