South Bay Weekend: Summer Concerts, Waves of Grain, San Pedro Shred Fundraiser, & Free Pizza

Like a Spanish Manor guarding secret treasure, Terranea Resort sits atop an ocean vista that’s absolutely astonishing, encompassing a swath of real estate that has some of Southern California’s last remaining sea-side panoramas yet to be obstructed by crowds, commercialism, or cars. Within this up-scale Rivera awaits a gem of a restaurant & bar called Nelson’s. Terranea kicked off their second string of summer concerts on Memorial Day Weekend and just like last year, live music will be showcased at Nelson’s every Friday and Saturday night this summer through Labor Day Weekend.

Haven’t been to enough beer festivals lately? Generally not enough beer related events going on in your life? Well, Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach just happens to be hosting another Wave of Grain Beer Fest this Sunday benefiting the Richstone Family Center.

Enjoy the weekend! Below are a list of South Bay Events.

Free Blaze Pizza to Celebrate New Location at Del Amo Fashion Center The redevelopment of Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance is scheduled to be complete by sometime in 2015, but there are already signs of new, commercial life exhibiting a fresh look upon a mall whose style peaked somewhere between the invention of Atari and 1987. Various eateries have already begun to open up inside a corridor above Carson Street and the old space dubbed “food court” is no longer part of this mall’s new lexicon and has been retrofitted with the much more debonair term: Patio Cafes.
