Wild & Scenic Film Festival: Sunday, February 21, 2016 - 4:00 pm

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy presents the second annual Wild & Scenic On Tour Film Festival on Sunday, February 21 at 4 p.m. at Redondo Union High School Auditorium.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival started in 1983 and is now the largest film festival of its kind in the United States. W&SFF; partners internationally to present “On Tour” festivals by engaging hosts who jointly raise awareness of preservation issues in nature.

The Conservancy is proud to present an exciting selection of adventurous and inspirational films about nature. With beautiful cinematography and some remarkable individuals, the passion is contagious.

From the spectacular close-up photography of birds, bees and plants in Yosemite, to the exhilarating and exciting bicycle trips in the Sierra from young mountaineers climbing 14,000 foot peaks, to a tremendously dedicated citizen scientist whose initiative has helped to bring bluebirds back to our country you will be moved, transfixed and energized to make a difference in our world.

Twelve short films will be screened over two hours. Tickets are $10 on-line and $15 at the door.

For additional information and ticket purchase, visit the website at http://pvplc.org/_activities/events.asp.
