25th World Famous Pumpkin Race : Sunday, October 25, 2015 - Noon

The World Famous Pumpkin races bring their rolling, kinetic pumpkin-mobiles back to Manhattan Beach for an annual 25th time. Not only can pumpkins be smashed, put into a pie, or made to flavor seasonal brew, they can also race. This October 25th at the Manhattan Beach Pier beginning at 12:00 PM (after the Sketchers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk) customized racing pumpkins will bound down the hill just above the Manhattan Beach Pier.

Single elimination qualifying races start at noon and got till at least 4:00 p.m. This is a free event and anyone with some creative sparkle and a little elbow grease can participate in the races. Dress in colorful costumes, enjoy fun activities for all ages, make your own Pumpkin Racecar and feel the thrill of competing in the fun-spirited World Famous Pumpkin Race.

WHAT'S THE WORLD FAMOUS PUMPKIN RACE? - Handcrafted Pumpkin Racecars racing side-by-side in unpredictable and dramatic style! Families and friends race for fun and the coveted Championship Trophy.
