On November 7th, Angels Gate Cultural Center continues to honor its Veterans and celebrates its 30th Anniversary by resuming the Open Studios Day | Fall event. We are excited to return to this tradition and hope to watch it grow and thrive for the future. Beginning at 11am and ending at 2pm, our patriotic festivities include the special anniversary exhibition's opening reception, workshops for all ages, live music and dance performances, tours of the Fort MacArthur Museum and the Center, and a scavenger hunt on our historical WWII-era campus. 

Be sure to visit the Gallery to view the new exhibition, A Gathering of Angels: Studio Artists from 1985 - 2015, which features both former and current Studio Artists from our thirty years; the ongoing exhibition, Service and Other Stories: A Living History Project, which focuses on the Veteran experience; and student artwork created through the Artists in Classrooms program.

• Visit over 50 Studio Artists to see their creative process and to purchase unique and beautiful handmade gifts just in time for the holiday season
• View A Gathering of Angels: Studio Artists from 1985 - 2015, an exhibition that showcases Angels Gate Cultural Center's rich history. All of our current studio artists and acclaimed alumni from each of our thirty years will be featured
• Enjoy live music, dance, stories, and poetry by our Community Class instructors and local Veterans from the United States Veterans' Artists Alliance
• Celebrate our Veterans with the presentation of colors by the staff of the Fort MacArthur Museum
• Create works of art and learn meditation techniques in workshops for all ages led by our Studio Artists and Artists-Teachers from the Artists in Classrooms program
• Explore Angels Gate Cultural Center's campus originally built for WWII with a Klikaklu scavenger hunt and tours of the Fort MacArthur Museum and the Center
